Education and Health Equity

Education is one of the most powerful tools for expanding opportunities, reducing inequality, and strengthening social mobility. Through Mexico Evalúa’s Education Program, we produce evidence and policy recommendations to help children and young people learn more, stay in school, and build complete educational pathways from early childhood through their transition into the workforce. To achieve this, we combine data analysis, field research, interviews, surveys, and ongoing dialogue with government officials, educators, students, families, civil society organizations, and the private sector. Our work seeks to understand and address the education system’s most pressing challenges, including learning gaps, classroom barriers, inadequate school infrastructure, the disconnect between education and employment, and weak institutional coordination. Based on evidence, we develop concrete recommendations to improve learning outcomes, strengthen education programs, make better use of public resources, improve school conditions, and move the country toward a more equitable, relevant, and high-quality education system.
